We are pretty addicted to our air fryer at the moment, if you follow our sire you will notice we have been publishing a lot of air fryer recipes of late. We just can’t get enough of experimenting with it. It’s just so easy to use and always seems to provide a great end result. Plus it is much healthier than many methods of cooking.
Cooking steak in your air fryer is as simple as it gets. You can really prepare the steak however you want but we recommend marinating it overnight for best results. If you don’t want to do that though you can just rub some herbs and spices into the meat with a little amount of olive oil.
Recipe with herbs and spices
Ingredients
1 lb. ribeye steak
1 1/2 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp of brown sugar
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/4 tsp of chili powder
1/4 tsp of garlic powder
1/4 tsp of paprika
Instructions
Take a bowl and add all the spices. Take a spoon or a whisk and give the spices a really good mix. Use your fingers to break the brown sugar down.
Put a generous amount of this spice mixture onto a place and lay the steak on top. Use your hands to rub more of the spice into the steak on the top and then flip over and make sure the spices from the bottom are properly rubbed into the meat.
Now let the steak rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Prepare your air fryer basket by spraying it with cooking spray. This will prevent the steak from sticking. Preheat to 390 degrees F.
Place your steak in the basket and cook for 9 minutes. There is no need to flip or peek into the basket. Cook for 11 minutes if you like your steak more well done.
Once done remove from the air fryer and allow it to rest for 5-8 minutes before serving.
